Interior Fit out Division

Our specialist Interiors Division opened its doors on Jan 1st, set up to focus on the rising potential of new office developments being created by international professional companies and Qatar’s own state companies carrying out major ambitious plans to rejuvenate large sections of Doha.


The division is focusing on a number of potential opportunities, including Barwa Al Saad project valued at Qrs 1.8bn comprising six towers housing offices residential units and shopping malls, likewise the ‘Heart of Doha’ project calls for the total rejuvenation of Doha’s central district planned to continue to2016. Other similar prestigious Projects include the  West Bay district which is expected to deliver 800 towers over the next ten years and Barwa Financial District made up of 10 Super modern buildings the tallest being 45storey’s. Similar major schemes are in the pipeline ensuring that for the medium to long term our Specialist Interiors Division will have major scope for the future.

RMD Kwik Form

Client Summary :: To alter and refurbish existing residential premises to form new office and reception area for 60 employees including kitchen area and IT accommodation.

Scope of works :: RMD KwikForm is a Designer & Supplier of Formwork, shoring, access and safety temporary works solutions to the building and civil engineering market. The project was to transfer a traditional residential unit into a commercial office, not an easy task but the Interspace team managed to execute it flawlessly keeping safe all the valuable traditional items & maintaining the concept of the building. Scope of works included light demolition and strip out of existing area, modification of ceilings, block and drywall partitioning. Upgrade of DB and extension of lighting and power circuits, modification to HVAC and plumbing systems. The complete installation of carpentry, joinery, kitchen units, laminate flooring and wall paneling. Ceramic tiling to all kitchen and toilet areas, finishes included complete redecoration, hard and soft flooring, anti-slip vinyl’s rounding off with the completion of external paved areas .

HSBC Bank Headquarters

Client Summary :: Conversion of the newly built Ali Bin Ali Tower to new Banking Headquarters, to provide Premier, Corporate, Global and Private banking facilities.

Scope of works :: This prestigious new project encompassed the whole spectrum of fit out works entailing the demolition and strip out of existing structures, modification of raised flooring, suspended ceilings and associated bulkheads including the installation of Glazed and Drywall partitions, and lighted cove arrangements to the installation of banking vault, cash lift and the installation of HSBC direct modular units and their commissioning. A glorious array of vibrant colour schemes adorned each wing of the banking floors and complemented the finished project. Interspaces are proud to be associated and entrusted with this project.

Qatar TV Al Kass

Client Summary :: Installation of modular prefabricated building attached to the existing premises to form new working TV Sports studio and reception area including toilets, store and IT suite.

Scope of works :: This exciting Project built on the already established business link between Gulf Contracting Co and Salam Media Cast. The Project consisted of preparation of the existing area for the ground works. Internal modification of ceilings, block and drywall partitioning. The installation of a prefabricated modular building manufactured within the Gulf Contracting Group. Upgrade of distribution board and the extension of lighting and power circuits. Installation of HVAC, modification of Plumbing systems. Installation of carpentry and joinery including raised flooring. Ceramic tiling to all kitchen and toilet area. Completion and modification of external concreted areas. Rounding of this project, finishes included the complete redecoration, hard, soft and anti-slip vinyl’s.

Chowking Restaurant

Client Summary :: To refurbish existing premises to provide working Kitchen, Dining, and Reception Areas.

Scope of works :: The first of a series of outlets planned for Qatar, Interspace was delighted to be entrusted with this Project. Commencing with an unused retail unit Interspace set about this transformation to a unique eating and takeaway establishment, firstly by carrying out a light demolition and strip out of existing services and unwanted building fabric. The modification of ceilings, block and drywall partitioning, adaptation to HVAC, plumbing and gas pipework followed. Installation of a new Distribution board including connection of lighting and power circuits. Complete rebuild of the kitchen and toilet areas including all ceramics, carpentry, joinery units encompassing laminated paneling to walls. Finishes including redecoration, hard, soft and anti-static floorings completed the Project.

Exxon Mobil QSTP

Client Summary :: To modify a new floor area within the Qatar Science and Technology complex to provide working Laboratory, Training, Security and Reception Areas.

Scope of works :: This Project typified ExxonMobil’s credentials as a world leader within the realms of Oil exploration with their high level integration of the building fabric and their own scientific technologies along with their attention to detail. From demolition of existing structures, modification of raised flooring and security vestibule entrance system. Installation and commissioning of high level Access, CCTV and Audio Visual systems including motorized blinds, manifestations and anti-blast films. Complemented by the configuration of work stations, modular furniture and the installation of Exxon’s very own training module. Truly a world apart.

VODAFONE Retail Outlet Landmark

Client Summary :: Conversion of newly built Retail Unit at Landmark shopping Mall to form an exciting and innovative interior phone outlet, including curved promotion walls and glazed shop front.

Scope of works :: Vodafone Qatar – A roll out of five iconic stores within the State of Qatar. Interspace was more than pleased to take this instruction, completing the first Vodafone Store in Qatar with its opening of the Landmark unit on 13th July 2009. Situated within the major Shopping Malls Vodafone are ideally placed to transform the telecom industry within the state. With a project duration of eight weeks, this exciting and innovative interior took shape detailing curved promotional walls, black granite flooring and intricate lighting. Consultation desks, Sim Hubs and handset displays areas complete the Fit out.
